It was so intense! I got to see so much detail because of how low they were. It was my first time seeing a Boeing AH-64 Apache, and I got to see 5 of em. So Ill keep it short today and get to the details since I'm currently at work, but yeah the title says it all. This happened no more than 30 minutes ago. So I was standing outside my car -- smoking a cigarette when they flew by. Im basically in the middle of nowhere, on a dirt-road in a fruit orchard, located in Central California, were I've never seen any low flying aircraft overhead. They were in-formation, flying NW, maybe heading to the National Guard Air Base in Fresno, CA? Cool thing to happen to me today. Anybody else on ATS and in Cali, see anything?

There is a CAB in SoCal and another up in Washington. They sometimes do cross-country flights.

ETA: I've seen a lot of Apaches...

Dang, I have yet to see those helicopters out here. I am envious. On the bright side, I we do get to enjoy some other public demonstrations in this town fairly often. Here were some of this year's treats our community was able to enjoy spectating.

Perhaps this has something to do with the fire in central Cali, I would guess either relocating the helos or perhaps aiding in damage assessment and perhaps aiding in rescue by using their FLIR to spot hot spots and people, just a guess mind you.

there's actually a lot of airbases in california with apache's, cobra's and all kinds of vehicles, the high desert is a popular spot for naval and air force operations as well

Also NTC is in Ft. Irwin, CA so it is likely they were going there for training. There's an NTC rotation starting up right now.

My brain wants to say "Maybe their the ones starting the fires!?
" haha. I read something one time about lasers being equipped on aircraft and that it was the government starting the fires here in Cali...Wouldn't that be something

Yes because you can fit so many VIP's in a 2 seat attack helicopter.

They're to preemptively launch Hellfires at the on ramps so the VIP motorcade can travel unimpeded to the underground lairs. Duh

I thought that would be reserved for Harry, William or Andrew only? Not just any suit.
