You've Heard of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke; How About Lee Moses, O.V. Wright, James Carr?

Hello fellow ATSers! Thanks for stopping in to check out some of the most soulful music on the planet.

In my opinion, soul is the best thing to happen to music since Mozart

Can you listen to this music impassively? If so, I'd like to check your pulse.

Kidding, haha but not really.

Now on to the music! Lee Moses, one of the best soul musicians ever to breathe life into the genre, sadly only recorded a couple of singles and one album in the late 60s early 70s, but these should be among the most coveted songs on earth. (Hyperbole? Not in my estimation )

Just listen to this track (was two songs on the album, remastered here and spliced together).. is this not pure gold? At about 0:48 it starts getting real.

Hi Fam! Hey, I'm a little ashamed to admit I had no idea about Sam Cooke's death before reading your post (looked it up).

It is sad and a very strange case. It would be absolutely horrible if he was murdered and then his name besmirched with lies about the circumstances. I'll have to check into the case more. I just LOVE Sam Cooke's music.

I'm happy to share, and just really glad for anyone who takes the time to appreciate good art. I have to admit, without Youtube I would likely never have heard so much this wealth of music.

For all of its faults, Youtube really does deserve credit for revitalizing these rather obscure artists!
