These pieces are excellent, not a word I use lightly or without very good reason. Much more than just technically proficient you manage to imbue the spirit and life of these great artists in to your work. I really love the range of values you employ and the minimal use of color to define a mood.

Wow, just wow.
Excellent work.
Seriously, you could sell prints of these.
A LOT of prints.

I am humbled, thank you

The goal is to produce a book. I hope to get at least 35 to 44 pieces ready.
Once I have enough produced, I'm running an Indegogo campaign and plan to find an appropriate charity to donate to.

This post will be a sort of time capsule for the process.

Might I ask what medium you are using?

Great work, had to comment finally! I've had the same issues with going digital myself. Always more crisp in the end, convenience of some finer points, etc. Keep on, nothing wrong with using mixed media for composition collections!

Fellow illustrator?

and thank you!

Honestly, as much as I enjoy the digital freedom, it's never as satisfying as scraping an inking nib across bristol board.
Once I got past my own weird beliefs about the process, I have been extremely productive.

I'm using digital for most of this so far.
With either a 12" iPad pro and an Apple Pencil, or a Wacom Cintiq and photoshop.

However, I plan to do a number of traditional ink wash pieces for some of my favorites.
I have a large composition for Howlin Wolf and Robert Johnson planned

Graphic design and want to focus more on illustration. So true, and end up missing the process of painting, other irl!
