I have met this video just now and i thought i'd share and hear maybe your good opinions contrary or supporting.Cats and ra relation sounds real fantastic in my opinion.

This theory is invalid because it involves speculative word-play across different languages, which is always a mistake.
The "cat-" in "catholic" does not come from the Englsih word "cat". The whole word comes from the Greek KATHOLIKOS, ansd the KAT in KATHOLIKOS is actually the prefix KATA, which means "according to".
A dictionary will tell you that the English word "cat" has roots in old Norse and old German, though the Late Latin speakers seem to have picked it up from their Germanic invaders (hence the French "chatte").

The sphinx head was originally a cats or dogs head and recarved.

Again, the word "mason" was originally the old French "MASSON", and the meaning of the English word "son" would have been represented in French by "FILS", not "SON"
Looking at a non-English word and asking "what modern English word does this sound like?" is a pleasant game, but it's not a serious way of understanding what the first word means. It's a form of dis-education.

these types commonly have an M anyway. nothing very special.

The story is not older.
