The game is rigged.

Free speech is dead.

Hell, I've been arguing for it for quite some time and the resistance I get from members here is just a small indication of what the rest of the world thinks about it.

People want censorship. We've been socially engineered to accept censorship, it is even applauded now.

Well, free speech was never intended to have any real potential for peasants like us. If they had anticipated the internet, there would have been no 1st Amendment. Probably ever. But even if there had been one it would have been gone by the end of WW2.

Free speech was always really only intended to be used by elites. Self-appointed intellectual leaders like the people who have controlled Hollywood for so long. They never thought of anything like the internet. But now that it's here, they have no choice but to do everything they can to monopolize it every bit as totally and completely as they did cable TV. This is our future. One way or another, the future of "free speech" is going to be "you're free to say anything you like as long as you don't say that".

There's a reason the Jerry Springer audience was the audience. They weren't the people running the networks. They were (and always have been) people who need to be controlled. Because they're too ignorant to live free.

I've been saying this for a while now...The Left is only for Free Speech when you're saying what they want to hear.

I would say that all speech is free as long as nobody (left or right) really cares what you say.

It has always be a eyesore and at times a regret on how MSN can convict someone in the court of public opinion using fake news/innuendo

You mean like conservatives always do an have done throughout history??

Remember how they used to burn people at the stake? Now they perpetuates lies through churches, politicians and other conservative venues constantly. Remember Rick Santorum saying that gay people getting married will lead to people marrying animals??

And most people are still too scared to talk about socialism, atheism, population control or stopping insane military spending for fear of being labelled and persecuted as a communist, anti-american, hating the troops, etc.

What about saying the Canadian Prime Minister will go to hell for opposing Trump? WTF would you call that, freedom?
