Some ppl are just that way no matter what u do, looking at his home he seems at least solidly middle class , which would indicate some kind of stability, although that cannot be taken for granted.

Never.

In many ways, my mom was my best friend. It got me called a "mama's boy" many times as a kid. I looked at it as a complement.

To even imagine harming my mother, let alone doing it, is so far beyond my abilities as to be impossible.

Well, assuming the picture they show is the guys actual mugshot, then I'm going to call shenanigans on someone actually beating him up. If 4-5 people really did jump this guy, I believe there would be signs of it, yet, his face looked perfectly fine. I doubt they would've made sure not to hit him in the face.

I have been beaten rather badly by a pack of thugs in the past and oddly had little evidence of it on my face. Having my arms wrapped around my head kind of helped that I suppose.

Did have bruises and grazes elsewhere under the clothes though.

Not saying this guy was beaten. Just saying it is possible to be beaten and 'appear' okay right after.
