Be diligent regarding his replacement.

The fight has just begun, not ended.

What fight?

The Senate confirmed Deputy at EPA, Andrew Wheeler will ...

Inquiring minds want to know...

What the hell took so long?

Looks like he managed to avoid doing anything particularly scandalous. It was just the collective weight of all his grifting that finally sank him.

www.washingtonexaminer.com...

Wheeler’s stock was helped by support from at least some moderate Democrats, who noted their comfort level interacting with him for more than a decade when he was a top staff member on the Environment and Public Works Committee, working mostly for former Chairman Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., the Senate’s most prominent denier of climate change. Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., who represents a major coal mining state, and Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., who is up for re-election in a red-leaning and shale oil-producing state, voted to approve Wheeler. Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., also backed him.

Seems it was not a priority for the dems to block the nomination?
So again what fight was referenced?

No idea what that's supposed to mean.

I guess they thought that Pruitt wasn't going to resign. But let's do some more whataboutism? Mkay?

Ding dong the witch is dead.
Long live the witch.

So then senate dems were outmaneuvered? Or do senate dems not care about the environment?

What whataboutism?
I asked annie about the upcoming fight she referenced, as the person who will take over has already passed senate muster.

Not all of them, apparently. Not the ones from oil and coal producing states.

What's your point? Are you sorry to see the swamp drained? Even a self created one?

Swamp draining is good no matter affiliation.
I just don't see any policy changes on the horizon as it appears to me the replacement has already been vetted.

he had aides put his hotel stays on their personal credit cards and then failed to pay them back

This would happen exactly once if it was me.
On the other hand he used a hiring loophole to give staff members big fat raises when the WH turned down his request so it didn't entirely suck working for him. Until it's discovered and you lose the raise you had gotten. Then he asks you to buy a used mattress.
I'm sure the trump hotels use very good mattresses.

Assuming Trump knows the ins and outs of every shady deal everyone who works for him, which isnt likely.

Why would he surround himself with dorks like this knowing the media is eyeballing everyones past and future?

My thoughts as well. Him and the direction of the EPA are two of my gripes with Trump.

Our country deserves so much better than this moocher. We also need someone who will protect our environment, which seems to be to much to ask for at this point.

I don't need a reply to this, but I sincerely hope you re-evaluate your position here. You are likely one of the most valued members of this site, and have been for a long time. You have gained the respect of most, and few will challenge you and come out on top. But as of late, you are being led by emotion and letting those feelings drive you towards the wrong end. Believe what you want, don't like Trump, all good, but please, go back to being Phage. Seeing you act like a Krazy person isn't a good look.

The person you are responding to asked a valid question to someone else. I say all this with honest admiration and respect.
