There's that Neo. And our butter-knives are safe for the moment.

However, I feel your pain and understand your lament.

During my quiet time--and before the coffee interfered in any positive way--I pondered that this could, without too much imagination, be the last 4th of July celebration. Half the populace have let tyranny spit in their face and the other half is demanding tyranny spit in their face. So, are we all zombies to some degree, even thee?

Yes, what freedom we have left is mostly, but not totally, illusion. I'm with Stossel on this and it could be worse or will be if we go the way of Britain and the Globalists. I think that's still a valid point.

And, to be more honest than I care to be on such a special day: I don't think there's a red, white, and blue happy ending to this flick. However, and don't ever doubt it, the American spirit (a coal here, a coal there) will only take so much (even if too little too late) before they're done talking about it.

Just For Today: I hear they're coming for my free speech something about "feels" and "correctness" but I plan on being pretty vociferous and stubborn about that. Obama had set the hook on "P.C." it was almost a done deal, and then BOOM America said, "Not so fast, you effin' Socialist!" And while we're talking free speech; NOBODY better mess with my memes, mang, that just ain't right yo!

Happy birthday America!
