Just a story of another crooked politician, but what caught my eye and made me chuckle out loud is the defense King was attempting to use and how often we see it these days. 'What about that guy?'

As humorous as it is, I think it's high time we stopped trying to justify our own behavior or that of those we like by pointing fingers at others. Previous crimes do not justify current crime.

Anyways, currently in Alabama.

Former Alabama Attorney General and current Republican Attorney General candidate, Troy King has found himself in the headlines this week for his campaign donations. His opponent Steve Marshall‘s campaign has been working overtime pushing details from his campaign finance report to discredit his assertion that he won’t take gaming money.

AL.com took an in-depth look at King’s donations and found that while he says he will not accept donations from gambling interests, he has “has taken about $90,000 from five South Carolina companies and individuals with links to gaming, records show.”

When Alabama Today reached out to King’s campaign to ask about taking money from gaming, they denied it; “Troy King has not accepted donations from gaming,” a representative from his campaign said.

They went on to point a finger at Marshall, saying he’s accepted gaming money from various organizations.

Alabama Today

Looks like the swamp is running dry for King.

I hope that one day, we can round up every politician, every politician, and place them in a preserve where people can drive their cars (keep your windows rolled up!) and look at the lowest forms of humanity.

Then afterwards, they can visit the gift shop (Like Jurassic Park) and pick up a toy politician who urinates on your leg and the programmed voice tells you it's rain.

Who'd even want to look at them?
The only interesting thing about politicians are their stories, their lies. They're good storytellers, that's it.

In the interest of protecting evrryone's freedom, because even politicians are people, I say we work on removing the incentive to become one. Remove the money, remove the self interest and the job will clean itself up.

This looks like a good place to paraphrase one of my favorite sayings and insert it into the conversation.

" Man's freedom will only come after the last politician is hanged by the entrails of the last priest."

Many may disagree with this but stop and ask yourself; Who have always been the primary oppressors of men for all of recorded history ???

I could get behind that.

Remove all fiscal incentive.

We'll pay rent, they can have food stamps, and if they're good, we'll give them cable.

But just basic, not expanded.

I'm not violent by nature, but I like that quote.

And the oppressors have always been politicians. In the past monarchs were the politicians so we had less choice, but now it's even worse -- the ones that are oppressing us are the very ones we allow to do so.

Here's a quote I like:

"Every nation deserves the leaders they get." -Joseph de Maistre

You can link any company to any other company...
Mostly.
Lets see where this goes.

This is all about " can we stop Poarch ?" In the past 10 years, the economic situation around my hometown , not 5 miles from Poarch, has improved drastically, almost " Dubai 1970/Dubai 2010" styles. The county government does not give a crap about the west end of escambia county, the state government cares even less . All we have ....is Poarch and the casino and the money it brings to town. They can't stand that. People like King would rather the money have stayed in Mobile, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville or Birmingham. Which is why they take money from out,of state gambling concerns....in order to try to get gambling out of Alabama, so these other places can get back the money they lose to Poarch.

( disclosure -- my son just started, working at the casino, for 12.50$ per hour. Consider that he was making 8.00 per hour before.)
