If they were treated illegally they will win their case.

This case has nothing to do with Trump. But Trump just signed an EO that should help fix the problem.

If that's true why did trump sign an EO saying that there was??

I am honestly confused about weather or not the laws existed before trump during trump or because of trump.

And now your saying there never was any law like this at all?

I wonder how many actually showed up for their court hearings versus just disappeared into the urban wilderness? That should be a telling stat as to a reason why it was decided to detain rather than catch and release on their own merit.

Edit: Looks like I need to read through the whole thread - Xtrozero indicated it was 85%+ that don't show up. How is this an effective approach?
