This is ridiculous. This is only one of several such incidents proven (through body cam release) to be totally fabricated and malicious.

As usual, LEOs are under attack by POS wanna be victims. Folks like S. King fuel the divisions, and spew rhetoric that ultimately results in the murder of officers.

Absolutely despicable. Hope this liar gets the book thrown at them

I find it comforting that people have demanded greater accountability of law enforcement, going so far as to demand gun cameras and body cameras. Ironic that the measures certain groups demanded have been instrumental is exposing their own racism and lies.

There was another incident in the last week or so where a black deputy director of a regional NAACP office did the same thing. Accused the officer who stopped him of profiling and all the other crap thats becoming standard only to be destroyed by the video footage of the exchange where none of what the race baiter claimed actually occurred.

At some point folks like King need to wrap their brains around something: whatever your movement is, when you fabricate events or participate in spreading fabrications of events, you do a disservice to the entire movement. And should you find yourself the victim of helping somebody push their fabrication, stepping up and owning it goes (and looks) a hell of a lot better than trying to pretend you were never involved to begin with.

Amen bro.

Thank the gods for civil rights activists like Merritt and to the folks keeping drunks off the road (cops and Uber drivers).

This does sound like an abusive attempt to get out of a charge. I'm glad the officer's life wasn't ruined by this.
