Since interest in the Philadelphia project will probably never die down among conspiracists, I thought I'd put together a quick reference page thread
devoted to the ship that's at the center of the legend: The USS Eldridge.
The Eldridge was a Cannon Class 'destroyer escort' (a small destroyer). It served in the atlantic fleet towards the end of WW2. It was later on
sold to the Greek navy.

Though there are many threads about the experiment on ats, I thought I'd put these starter references on their own thread so that anyone who is just
getting into the legend won't have to dig through pages of old talk to find them.
