“DARPA’s MediFor program brings together world-class researchers to attempt to level the digital imagery playing field, which currently favors the manipulator, by developing technologies for the automated assessment of the integrity of an image or video and integrating these in an end-to-end media forensics platform.
If successful, the MediFor platform will automatically detect manipulations, provide detailed information about how these manipulations were performed, and reason about the overall integrity of visual media to facilitate decisions regarding the use of any questionable image or video.”

Um, I can't understand why they are obsessed with that. I suppose they spend all day watching porn to figure out how to detect fake stuff. I want to apply for a job doing that.
We are on the cusp of an age where the only things you can believe are those that you witness with your own two eyes, and that's extremely limiting. These days, I don't trust anything that is posted online, whether it's "Deepfakes" or seemingly innocuous Facebook posts from people I personally know. Nine times out of ten, it's going to be completely legit, but then there's the tenth time...
The method isnt nefarious, it is their intent. I also dont think the majority of the industry people doctoring any adult media have nefarious intent.
