Another TinySickTears thread. Man, I seem to be drawn to these...

I would list off the great deceased comics of yesterday but you cats know all them. Lately I've been digging on comedic musicians. Not most of them but a few stand out to me above the rest and I'm not sure they count as stand-up since they do tend to sit down.

First, dude's got a couple specials, great finales. A lot of his stuff is well done self-deprecation. These aren't.
Second, a jab at organized religion and a real stand-up bit. Dude does have some normal stand-up routines.

MY fav is Norm MacDonald. He’s a genius.

Combine Norm with Super Dave along with sidekick Adam Eget,

Gabriel Iglesias is one of the funniest guys I've ever seen. This is one of his best jokes/story ever.

I have been fortunate enough to see 3 of my favorites live recently.
Louis CK, Tom Segura & Anthony Jeselnik.
All 3 were great shows.

My favorite has got to be Bill Burr. ol' billy red tits is the funniest man on Earth.

For me a favourite is Frankie Boyle, heads-up though, his language and material aren't to everyone's taste, lol

This is my jam. We've got the international comedy fest Just for Laughs every year. EVERYONE is there and we get those on TV through the year. It's awesome.

mitch hedberg. different comedian.

Love Mitch. Died WAY too young.

John Pinette also died too young.

If you don't find Dave Hemsted funny you aren't married.

Jimmy Carr is one of the best one line comedians.

Stewart Francis. Another one line comedian.

Greg Morton is hilarious. Side note. He also played for the Buffalo Bills.

Bill Cosby back in the 60's and 70's. Before he sold pudding pops and became a sexual predator.

Pete Kelamis and the Crazy Chicken.

Russell Peters. I'm living in his hometown.

K Trevor Wilson. The Penis Game is funny as hell. He's also in Letterkenny. Online show. It's a must see.

The ladies.

Kathleen Madigan.

Tammy Pescatelli.

Gina Yashere.

I could go on. I really could but this is taking up my day.

The Burr shows are excellent and especially because he's changed over the years. It's like watching the life path of someone as hes gone from conspiracy to pet dogs to politics and on to marriage and kids. He's similar to Jim Jefferies who's also an outstanding stand up with tales to tell. Toss in Chappelle's sets too and they make a killer trio of top class guys.

Anthony Jeselnik's good too, or was, and not many seem to know his name. Maria Bamford is on Netflix as well and probably made me laugh as much as any of the main guys. She's on her own vibe and doesn't compare to anyone.

Hate it missed this thread earlier...oh well, my top 3 (Carlin, Chapelle, and Hedberg) have been mentioned, BUT....I highly recommend listening to Mitch Hedberg's wife tell the story of how they met, where, what he proposed, and how they ended up uniting and staying together.

Just one of many from Hedberg: What do you call a broken escalator? STAIRS! Of course, his delivery and ability to dead-pan aren't captured in the above, but still, he was the man.

By far though, Carlin was on another level. Pure Genius. Got to see him in my mid-20s 6 months before he passed.

Oh, and one that wasn't mentioned (at least I didn't see his name), Bill Hicks was a genius with his social commentary (although, his social/observational comedy just wasn't the stuff of Carlin).

Make it Hicks/Hedberg for a tie in 3rd place.
