The wife went to the store and the parking lot was full of people. People prepping for the upcoming disaster. We are supposed to get freezing rain and snow, then by Saturday we might get a foot to a foot and a half of heavy wet snow. Nobody cares about nukes falling from the sky here.

Just got home after a long day at the office. I'm tired and need to relax. Out of habit, I check to see what's new on ATS. I can't believe all the paranoia and all of the screaming about "world war 3". It's as if some of you were given inside information and are convinced it's going to happen. I really thought folks on ATS are smarter than that. You porn doomers should all go work for CNN.

Thanks Ricky. First reasonable post I've seen in this thread. I'm not expecting snow here in the south but I'm with you. I'll find something more realistic to worry about.

The newsman stated the instructions are for “people who succumb to panic and decide to spend all their savings," the anchor said. Way to go for those buying into this horsecrap...United States has 60 or so nuclear reactors...how do you think this would work out for the world if a quarter of them melted down...foolish posturing on both sides to get more votes, spend more on the military, and to increase each others overall budget or to distract from the economic mess..

This is ridiculous. The Assad air assets that were used to drop chemical weapons will get destroyed, along with the storage and staging assets that made the chemical attack possible.

Putin will posture for days before the attack that he knows will happen, and then he will use propaganda to tell his people....see I was tough and you were saved from attack by the big bad West...... when no such attack was ever a possibility for these circumstances.

It's all about dictator etiquette, posture posture posture, then claim victory to the people.

Could be that Russia and their allies are sick of sitting down and biting there tongues. Every great empire falls eventually. There is a great divide in the way different cultures deal with situations such as these and sometimes they clash. At this point I am not surprised.
