read my words and pray for understanding

that is if you are not too defiled to hear

I am very much defiled, but that is not the point.

My point is that it not not our hearing that is deficient, but rather yours.

Even I can understand that Jesus is referring to emotions and evils from within VS things that enters you (may it be outside food or other's words) and that end up in your belly.

If you receive abuse it does not make you evil. But if you initiate abuse, you are evil.

you perceive to understand yet your words betray you

i do see that you are trying

i will again advise you that if you seek understanding as to what i am referring then simply pray for understanding with an open heart and an open KJV

So, in other words, you have given up on your counterargument.

Mate... It's really not that complicated. Please allow me to walk you through it.

"14 And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: "

Plain English: and Jesus said, 'Hey, guys, gather 'round', I've got something to say.'

"15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. "

Plain English: stuff from outside you they don't defile you. Stuff from you, though, that's a different story.

"16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. "

Plain English: Is everyone listening? Good. howtonhawky, put your phone away please.

"17 And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. "

Plain English: Jesus got inside the house. His friends asked him about the nonsense he said earlier.

"18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; "

Plain English: so Big J. said, 'didn't you get it? Stuff that you eat, or things you hear, don't defile you...'

"19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? "

Plain English: '...because all those end up in your belly, not your soul.'

"20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. "

Plain English: 'But stuff you say, or actions from you, that could put you into trouble...'

"21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, "

Plain English: 'You can have, um, bad intentions."

"22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: "

Plain English: 'very bad intentions. '

"23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man "

Plain English: 'and those come from yourself, and that's what makes you the bad guy.'

Get it now?

Hi I howtonhawky, I was wondering what your opinion was on on Peter's vision recorded in Acts Chapter 10? The one where the sheet came down from heaven?

And, of course, your interpretation is much more superior.

I imagine you're interpreting as actually eating stuff from within?

basically
you are what you eat

what we digest effects our mood and such...

the dna is alive

Lol - Jesus definitely did not mean that you shouldn't eat some aliments because they'll "change your DNA".

He just spent minutes, hours, (I can't remember how long his speeches lasted) explaining that being the victim of evil does not defile your soul, whereas evil thoughts can make you a bad person, and you ignore it all.

Well, good luck with your interpretation, if that's the truth you want to believe in, then have fun with it, and be awesome.

I once seen a squirrel in a burnt forest surviving on poisoned berries. He done this by also eating the charcoal

the berries are with substance
the coal is without substance

The coal contains activated carbon that acts as a treatment for many poisoning.

en.m.wikipedia.org...(medication)

It's not a question of "without substance", it's a question of surface area and the correct chemical compounds.

By the way, the charcoal was from outside the squirrel. And so was the berry.

Well, I doubt the squirrel gave birth to them, anyway.

why do you continue with your deception?

i asked nicely

one more time

if you want to understand what i am saying then pray to God for understanding and open your heart and a KJV

if not then know that your incorrect points are noted and abide somewhere else where your thoughts are wanted

i have many other threads i would be glad to debate you on

I personally spoke with God several time.

The Divine words are not as vain as to simply address food.

I know you don't believe me, but you're missing the whole point of Jesus' message. He's the Messiah, not Martha Stewart, for Pete's sake.

Did I come across as disrespectful?

Hmm.

If I did then I sincerely apologize. I shall adjust my interaction with you so to minimize any further displeasure.

I do try and make a point to be as gentleman as possible.

So, thank you for setting me right.
