That is a good question Marg. I have been wondering this as well. Bush is asking for another 82 billion dollars and Iraqi oil is nowhere to be found. But yet the production is cut every so often due to insurgent attacks. So where is the oil that is being produced?

Well it seems that others have been wondering where the oil and the money is going.

Almost $9bn (£4.7bn) of Iraqi oil revenue is missing from a fund set up to reconstruct the country.
The BBC's File On 4 programme has learnt that out of over $20bn raised in oil revenues during US-led rule, the use of $8.8bn is unaccounted for.

The article talks about bribes and money deposits with no deposits slips to prove where the money is going.

One US company is accused of massively inflating its profits by setting up sham companies to send fake invoices which the coalition paid.

Others are alleged to have demanded dubious commissions which then came out of Iraqi funds.

Funny we heard a lot about the oil for food program "scandal" but where is the oil for "reconstruction" scandal.
