A Burmese python was spotted wrapped around an alligator at the golf club at Fiddler’s Creek in Naples on Friday.

It’s not the type of rivalry many would expect to see on a golf course, but hey, it’s Florida we’re talking about.

Richard Nadler and some friends were playing a round of golf nearby when they spotted the pair.

"Wild day on the 10th hole today!" Nadler wrote in a Facebook post.

Nadler also posted three photos of the python as it twisted around the gator.

From the pictures, it appears that the gator had the python's tail clenched between its jaws.

It's unclear who won the battle.

Burmese pythons are an invasive, non-native species and can grow up to 17 feet in length, according to FWC.

Oh those silly reptiles, and the iguanas no doubt just laugh and watch from the trees!

the alligator APPEARS to still have free use of its legs - so SHOULD be able to win easily - by " going to water " - it can keep its shout in air and the python will drown or have to release its grip

That was beautiful.
Sometimes they show up for a nice time at the beach. At least the gators let us keep golfing.

This was a little guy though. Too much competition out here, they are not often see at their maximum size. Eventually we will catch a croc and a python going at it on camera, and the iguanas will still be laughing.
