But....it was definately the EGG!!!! Remember how the first bird was hatched from the egg of a reptile?

If you go back far enough, there was only an organism splitting into another, no eggs, therefore the chicken came before the egg.

i have a very different opinion as i think that it was the badger that cames first, not the chicken or the egg. we can claim that the chicken came from the egg and the egg came from the chicken but if you are only considering these then where would the badger come from-that is my theory
