Im sure its written in the greek mythos somwhere, that Alexander was confronted by a giant floating shield during a battle !
Cant remember which story it is though

but Alexander was helped in a battle by a giant floating shield

The story about Alexander you refer to does not appear in any ancient text.
It has no provenance whatsoever.

So where does the story come from then? , was it just made up by modern UFOlogists in hope that the story would stick ?

Weird

Thanks

I don't think it was all that modern, but definitely it comes from ufologists.

You can probably find out where it was first mentioned. Try googling it using terms like fake or hoax or skeptic in your search terms. You'll probably find where it originated.

If not, ask Jason Colavito. I bet that guy could tell you.

I read about it years ago - three computers ago - and don't have it bookmarked anymore.

Not knowing for sure, I'll blame Charles Berlitz. That guy made up all kinds of stuff people still believe.
