i wanted to see this fight for some time.

both fighters are two time olympic champions,
both fighters are near or at their prime,
the skill level of both these guys is off the charts amazing!

i give lomachenko a slight advantage. but wouldn't be surprised if rigondeaux pulls off a win.

oh man, i can't wait.

I can't honestly see anyone beating Lomachenko in his weight class...

His only loss was pure robbery... he clearly won that fight...

Finally! The trash talk has been great but now it's time to see who's the truth. I'm going with the most unlikely of predictions: Rigo by tko, some time between the 4th & 6th rounds. Of course, that means nothing since I'm usually wrong w/my fight predictions.

So Triple G got completely robbed tonight. I like G and Canelo equally well. But the majority of the people I watched with were rooting for G so I rooted for Alvarez. There is no way any person could have scored that fight 118-110 for him. Absolutely absurd. Even scoring it 114-114 was a stretch. This is why I hate Vegas fights.

i'm taking a vacation day from work to see this one.

Getting closer and I am looking forward to this fight although I am not really familiar with them and haven't seen them fight except for a youtube clip or two of Loma.

What will this be televised on? Surely not PPV.

To be fair, I did say it "by tko, some time between the 4th & 6th rounds". I just couldn't see the fight going the distance. But wow did I pick the wrong guy.

Congrats to Loma & wtf to Rigo. Oh well. Hopefully the payday was worth it because the backlash may crush his legacy. I think I still support him but I'm still a bit too shocked to know for sure. The actual fighting went nothing like I expected. I expected Rigo to catch Loma when he tried a weird angle and knock him out cold. Oh well lol.

i expected more from rigondeaux, but he had no answer for the angles and speed of lomachenko.

i'd love to see the rematch with salido or a fight with mikey garcia next for lomachenko.

i too have never seen a fighter quite like lomachenko.
if he continues to compete like he is, he may very well end up being recognized the best of this generation. he is actively seeking out challenges. he is a breath of fresh air.

if mikey garcia and bob arum don't put aside their differences, we will never see that match up. lomachenko would have to come up from 130lbs to 135lbs to do it. he might get a shot at jorge linares at 135lbs. who knows? even if he moves up in weight and loses, no one would would hold the loss against him.

he is a special talent. i'm glad i have the opportunity to watch him fight.
