BREAKING: Spanish mission 'seized' in Bern

Unidentified intruders have burst into the Spanish consulate in the Swiss capital Bern and are reported to be holding one or more hostages.

Witnesses say police have sealed off the building and the surrounding area.

A consulate official quoted by the Spanish news agency Efe said one or two people had been taken captive.

The official was quoted as saying the intruders had hit an employee on the head upon entering the building at 0800 local time (0700 GMT).
