more than likely, they just don't have that kind of money to waste...

and palin probably doesn't have the money to waste, maybe someone should try to track down just where that money is coming from?

If the case is solid, it wouldn't be wasted money.
They should win... if they really have a case.

This was big news in 2010. I wonder why Palin didn't sue anyone then? This should be interesting, as the defense dredges up all that 2nd amendment rhetoric she used during that campaign!

It's all freedom of speech, right Sarah??

No.

Damages have arisen from the piece and continue to this day.

The extreme left still makes this false assertion and blame Sarah Palin for the horrible act, when in fact the guy was on the police radar around 2007 long, long, before Takebackthe20.com (or PalinPAC.com) published the little graphic.

There is no denying that the approved editorial article, despite being corrected, has had negative impact 6 years later.

Even the #Huntrepublicans guy used this crap just last week on Fox News.

About 2:45 into the interview...

You can also find it cited in other places recently, so no doubt the damage is done.

that editorial couldn't have had a negative impact for the last six years since it wasn't published till June 14th of this year... and it was corrected two days later with this added to the bottom of the page....

Correction: June 16, 2017

An editorial on Thursday about the shooting of Representative Steve Scalise incorrectly stated that a link existed between political rhetoric and the 2011 shooting of Representative Gabby Giffords. In fact, no such link was established. The editorial also incorrectly described a map distributed by a political action committee before that shooting. It depicted electoral districts, not individual Democratic lawmakers, beneath stylized cross hairs.

www.nytimes.com...

and, I am sorry but there is really no evidence that a play about ceaser where ceaser has a striking resemblance to trump had anything whatsoever to do with the shooting at the baseball field either, but it didn't stop a bunch of conservatives on these boards from trying to blame it on the play, calling for the roundup of all the liberals, and worse!
be honest, was it really the little error in this editorial that did palin damage, or was it that she actually had crosshairs symbolizing deomocrats on a map, while another tea party candidate came out with his "Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office. Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly."

Giffords, a third-term legislator, supported Obama's health care reform bill. This earned her a place on the map, posted to Takebackthe20.com by Sarah Palin's Political Action Committe, that literally put Democrats in the cross-hairs last spring after the bill passed. "Don't retreat, instead- RELOAD!" was how Palin introduced the map to her Twitter followers. Days later, a vandal smashed the glass door of Giffords' Tucson office. Giffords' father tells the New York Post that members of the Tea Party "always threatened" his daughter.

Giffords' Tea Party opponent in the 2010 election, Jesse Kelly, went even further with the violent rhetoric. Kelly's campaign held an event called "Get on Target for Victory in November." Description: "Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office. Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly."
gawker.com...

is it that there was a few small errors that is damaging or the fact that the editorial brings out just how badly the republican rhetoric was in the past that is damaging, is it palin that is being damaged or the chosen republican assessment of the current situation that is damaged and palin is just the tool being used in their war on all media that refuses to sign the republican tune???

Six years ago, an OP'ed started all this crap.

Democrat who survived what was otherwise a GOP sweep in Arizona, precisely because the Republicans nominated a Tea Party activist. (Her father says that “the whole Tea Party” was her enemy.) And yes, she was on Sarah Palin’s

NYT 2011, Paul Krugman OPedinfamous “crosshairs” list.

Some Democrats said Ms. Palin should at a minimum apologize for political tactics like putting out a map that placed cross hairs on Ms. Giffords’ district. They said she should think about what contribution she might have made to fomenting antigovernment sentiment.
NYT, JEFF ZELENY and JIM RUTENBERGJAN. 9, 2011

The list can get longer.

Here we have a history of assignation, wrongfully, with what I mentioned in my previous post and Palin (perhaps you are unaware) by the NYT.

The lawsuit will have everything to do with the past six years because:

The NYT Has had 6 years and can not still get it right and it is still spewing BS like a sprinkler.

That is a little insight as how to how this lawsuit will flow; which was my point. NYT has been driving this narrative for 6 years and knows better, to allow this editorial to get through.... They need to be sued, heavily.
