I like that part. That's funny.

The Romans complained that Christianity was a Slave's religion. Slaves didn't pack any weapons, only free men are armed. The later Christian Romans, couldn't get their heads around the nuclear family idea, either. It was a Goth reform to get the common Romans out from under the claws of Homosexual Corporations. The then Pope didn't like it, but he couldn't stop the Goths from enforcing their reform, that "One man marries one woman, and no Homosexual behavior allowed, under pain of death". Ergo we have had the nuclear family since about 475AD or so. The Christians were still acting like a bunch of hippy, wife swappers, as this nuclear family idea was still pretty radical, even for them.

It wasn't a big deal if some gents ended up in the wrong household, after a hard night's partying. But the homosexuals, now in monasteries and convents, began fulminating over the public lack of morals, and soon they rose up in the ranks of the Christian Churches. And then Byzantium ran the Goths out of Rome, and all the way into Iberia.

Just in the last couple of days, there's been news stories, linked to, on Drudge, about tourists squeezing the locals out of the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona, Spain. So, both Goths, and closeted Gays, have molded modern family life, all through the Christian West. And Christian Ministers, in a Republic, instead of the thousand years of the monarchies, can be found all over the political landscapes.

But with the prophecised return of the Christian Monarchy, after a 200 year long cycle of Republics, they may be going straight back into monasteries and convents. Right now, the only game in town is the old British Monarchy. The bad part, is that it will take an enormous World Wide convulsion for all of the Republics to fail, simultaneously.

Whether this comes with fire from the sky, or enormous, Pacific Ring of Fire, vulcanism, it portends a new Dark Age, just like the last big one, starting in 450 A.D., and running for the next two hundred fifty plus years. The last big time one came out of the 530 A.D. eruption of Krakatau, in present day, Indonesia. But an earlier 450 A.D., lesser eruption, of that same old whore of the Sundra Strait, started the party, which killed off the Roman Republic in the West.

By 475 A.D. Rome had shrunk from around a million, in Christ's day, to only about 14,000 souls. But those Goth's ideas, and reforms, made Christianity work, right on through the Dark Ages. After 450 A.D., they had bounced all the way from Northern Anatolia into Rome, and then before 530 A.D. had been driven all the way west into Iberia, and the French Atlantic coastlines. Plus, the Byzantines had kept them, at arm's length, and out of the Eastern Roman Empire,as they sojourned, far to the West, to keep from starving.

The only other land rush this great, is our own Nineteenth Century rush from the Hudson River to Elliot Bay, in Seattle. Both occurred in one man's full lifetime. But at least these Goths enjoyed good Roman Roads and Bridges. We had to hack the Oregon and Sante Fe wagon trails out of the Wilderness.

So, is it any wonder, that modern Christian ministers come in every flavor? At least until our next great catastrophe!
