Michael Mann is a slimy little lying weasel and is getting ripped to shreds.

We're really pretty screwed. Either a lot of people die in the short term, or a whole lot more people die in the long term.

Leaves little room for doubt which direction you'd want things to go if you are in charge.

meh, lots of alarmists, just glad they are no longer in charge.

Mann appears to be trying to distance himself from the RICO case against EXXON.

The earth is warming, how much of that is due to man made causes?

Beats being in an ice age.

Based on every one of those people testifying, some portion of it is from man-made causes.

Curry even admits that there could be catastrophic consequences. Let me show you what kind of catastrophic consequences, from someone who is in no way an 'alarmist':

Methane up 50% in a lifetime. 10 degree annual average increase in Greenland. This is stuff recorded in the ice cores. We're headed that direction. It is concerning.

That's an interesting interpretation, to assign preference to a carefully worded observation. It continues to be off-topic to this thread you have created, so I really don't know why you brought it up.

..and TV series, like "Penn State U Vice" - Mann must have played the role of "Tub" judging by his girth....

Micheal Mann verbally lied to Congress under oath.

There is a period at the end of that sentence for a reason. His CV says he is associated with them.

Do you imagine that the man doesn't know what is in his CV and yet he still blatantly lied. There are no ifs, ands or buts. The man lied to Congress

This isn't a matter for opinion. It is a matter of fact. When asked if he was associated with the Climate Accountability Institute, the man said "no".

Why is Jeff Sessions still Attorney General?

He obviously lied before Congress, by your standards.

See the analogue?

No I don't.

Are you saying that if other people lie under oath then Micheal Mann did not lie under oath?

Do other people's lies make the truth out of Micheal Mann's lie in some way?

Do you know the difference between truth and lie?

People are allowed to correct their testimony.
The CV corrects his testimony, such as those ambush questions where his answers were being spoken over by the questioner.

The end. This is a non-story.

Talk over him?

He asked a simple yes or no question, why was Mann squirming?

"we know these things are real, we've seen them in the ice cores"

Since when did ice cores become a crystal ball that predict the future?

He's speaking to models again, and they have yet to be right.

And Greenland is not the world. Why do they ignore the ice cores from Greenland when it comes to C02 data?

Could be ocean currents affecting Greenland for all we know, the science is not settled.

Many abrupt changes in the past, no surprise, climate changes.

America is doomed. There are far too many mentally warped people like the OP for this country to survive.

I can't believe that in America a scientist is being questioned like a criminal by the party of crime, murder and corruption. Let's put those congressmen on trial for all the innocent people they've permitted to be killed by pollution, drones, health insurance "death panels", etc.

You have no place to speak about the truth on this forum.

Obviously he was wrong in his quick answer. He apparently submitted his CV before the question. Why was the question asked, if they already had the answer?

Hm yes why was he squirming, suddenly being asked McCarthy-era questions about group affiliation out of the blue?

I don't know, you tell me. What was the overarching point of this hearing, and were those questions especially relevant to that point?

Never question the scientists, that right.

Turn of the taps on the fossil fuel supplies and see how many people die, at least Greven gets it, he knows hundreds of millions would die, you have no clue.

This thread has nothing to do with Jeff Sessions.

It has to do with Congressional testimony where the testimony was clearly wrong.
This too was the case with Jeff Sessions.
It is a fairly recent and rather high-profile analogue to this.

It's a whole heap of a lot more on topic than my post history in another thread that you have severely misinterpreted over multiple posts in this thread and personally attacked me over said misinterpretation.

I ask again, if Mann submitted a CV that already had this information in it, why was there even a question? It's already part of the record. An ambush question over group affiliation that was already answered. It's as relevant as your misstatement about the name of the group.

Your guy in the video is another alarmist, he says we are predicting a meter of sea level rise of a meter by 2100.

Not even the IPCC is saying that except in their most extreme RCP 8.5 model.
