We all have our favourite Film Soundtracks ( Scores ) One's we all know and love and can even know off by heart the various tracks within the score.

However there are many film soundtracks that some of us don't know about and even the films themselves. Some of these " unknowns " have some first rate music within them and are composed by well know artists.

For my choice i give you the soundtrack to the 1968 film " Up The Junction " All music composed and performed by Manfred Mann.

The Opening Theme

A couple of random tracks.

The Complete Soundtrack

Ok over to you lot. Post your choices.

My mistake perhaps, my previous post was about the guys that "make" the movies. without their "scores" the movies would be completely different.

Movie Soundtrack ....... can't beat 8Mile ......... my favorite (apart from the duel in the Movie) is ....

Getting back to composers ...... would this movie be the same without this composer and soundtrack? You also Rock Alan Silvestri

Southern Comfort - Ry Cooder. Great movie and sound track. If you like the Blues and Slide Guitar (with a little Zydeco thrown in) you will love this sound track.

From the short documentary, Miss Sarajevo, the self titled song that always puts a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes when Pavarotti sings. The entire CD, Miss Sarajevo | Passengers is exceptional.

8 mile is Overrated and well known, I don't think it qualifies.

I may be shouted down for this because of how terrible the movie actually was, but one of my most favorite soundtracks of all time is the batman forever soundtrack. U2, Massive attack, Method Man, The Flaming Lips, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Offspring, Nick Cave, and others. I really wish the movie was as good as the soundtrack!
