Japanese punk is def happier than Eastern European punk rock.
Mongol800 sounds like the band suicide machines. At least the SM's first album.
My brother brought me back a Eastern European punk cd in the late 90's and it made me want to set fire to myself and steal everybody's chickens. It
was the angriest music I had ever heard and I grew up on punk. Ugh that was depressing.
Mongol800 not so much tho!
Happy!!!!

Exactly! Thanks for appreciating that aspect, I admit I do strive for more unifying topics Politics like salt is best in moderation.. After
that-- unpalatable to an extreme.
Thanks for your own interesting contribution!

Thank you very much for sharing, I never heard of them before and I love 'em!... I don't know how to describe their sound, it's like Beck becoming the
band leader of The Hives or something. From a single source, they already have 36 albums from 1990 to 2007, somehow they remind me of the Swedish band
Popsicle.
I love Japanese bands like:
Before that...
... and my eternal crush, Utada Hikaru.
Again, thank you. You even inspired me to start a new thread.

I forgot to include The Hiatus, they have the same drummer as Toe- Kashikura Takashi, which I think is one of the best drummer in the world right
now.
