Growth on Mount St. Helens is more in only months than the growth experienced upto 6years after the explosion. I'm hoping this doesn't mean that
she's gonna blow her top off.............we've had enough natural disaster to last us for a while.
More than any quake swarms or even generalized dome movement, lava dome growth is a good indicator of the possibility of eruption. In the famous Mt.
St. Helens explosion, it was immedaiately preceded by a fantastic expansion of the lava dome. Not definitely meaning an eruption will occur tho.
