This is quite interesting. A UFO is mentioned in a German document written in Latin from 1034 AD.
It makes me wonder what else is out there, hidden under a pile of dust!

I can't watch the video.

How about some sort of description or summary of the video.

That first one about the hundreds of objects in the sky over Nuremberg could have been a vision of the future. Nuremberg was heavily bombed during WWII, the sky was filled with aircraft on numerous occasions (heavy bombers look like crosses, objects coming out of them could be bombs, even a crash outside the city?

Jacques Vallee has done a great job of collecting and organizing these types of UFO reports/encounters in Passport to Magonia. If you haven't already read it, I'd definitely recommend doing so. He's one of the very few UFO researchers who
is responsible and applies the scientific method.

The one about Japan was neat.

I wonder, are the pictures themselves original from "back then" or just artists impressions?

The event took place in 1803. There are three texts written between 1825-1844 on this subject.

Edit: Oh, I see what you mean. I guess they are artists impressions.

Possibly a time slip, if that's the right phrase? With one time period leaking into the other?

Hi Scallywwagg. Good question. I don't have a pat answer.

Our view of time is limited by our perspective. We only see now.

I think people that have these 'visions' for lack of a better word, are shown this during out of body experiences. Shown the future. Makes sense from a certain perspective, because they didn't know what they were seeing at the time. How could they understand modern technology from their antiquated perspective?

Aaaah, good old 1693... The day when the Xbox logo came to Earth.

Unfortunetly most of the ancient sightings are somewhat heavy on the religious tones, showing clear bias toward making... well pretty anything out of the ordinary in the sky like meteors... as something angelic/demonic/divine/etc.
