Hundreds of thousands rally in Iran against Trump, chant 'Death to America': TV

Hundreds of thousands of Iranians rallied on Friday to swear allegiance to their clerical leaders and reject U.S. President Donald Trump's warning that he had put the Islamic Republic "on notice", state TV reported.

They carried "Death to America" banners and effigies of Trump while a military police band played traditional Iranian revolutionary songs.

Charming. If this wasn't enough they also praise their leader.

"America and Trump cannot do a damn thing. We are ready to sacrifice our lives for our leader", a young man told state TV, in a reference to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

And you thought our media was bad!

Both U.S.-based social media sites are blocked by the government in Iran but many Iranians get around the restrictions to use them. Iranian officials, including Khamenei, have Twitter and Facebook accounts despite the ban.

I guess being put 'on notice' has ruffled a few feathers.

Iran pledges missile retaliation to 'confront' US warning 'DARK DAYS' ahead for Trump

Tehran has now warned the US and Iran have "dark days ahead" as thousands flooded the streets with banners reading "Down with USA".

Earlier this week Khamenei struck back after a meeting with his military leaders and promised the nation is planning to respond to mark today's anniversary of the Iran's revolution in 1979.

Reminds me of my Professor's experience during the Iranian Revolution:

One time shortly after the Ayatollah took power, my professor happened to be sitting on a hotel when someone tipped him off and warned him to get out of Iran because the Ayatollah's men are hunting him down.

He managed to get away of course and to this day warned about dangers of the Iranian Regime.

Obama's buddies showing their true colors again, imagine that.

This seems a fairly regular occurance in Iran. Don't know why it's news really.

Looks like they're really nuts over there.

So much for diplomacy and pallets of money.

Maybe the pause on the ban is to give some of these people a chance to come in, do what they are saying, and off Trump for the globalists.

We've overthrown their democratically elected government.

Installed a puppet dictator.

When they deposed our Iranian dictator (the Shah), we had our other puppet (Saddam), attack them and armed both sides, resulting in a million dead.

Compared to what we've done in the past, Trump isnt even that bad... *shrugs*

First, I am not saying I agree with or promote their behavior...

They do this every year I believe. It's a celebration of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Flag burning, the chanting, the whole nine yards. If you look into it you'll find news reports about it going back quite a while. It's not new. It's not happening because of Trump or Obama.

These are the same Anti- America rallies these Muslim extremists have been holding for years.
