Ive just been watching a program about Australia on TV and it showed some Aussie Cowboys on a Cattle farm that had 40,000 head of cattle ( as a Brit that number boggles my mind ) rounding them up with Choppers. I have to say the skill these guys have when doing this is absolutely amazing, they have skills a Military Chopper pilot would find jaw dropping. What kind of Choppers do they fly? And where do they learn to fly like that.
They are very small 2 seater's that are very, very manouverable and i don't think i have seen the type before.

Do the US use the same aircraft as the Aussies?

I've seen a variety of choppers used from the Bell model 47 to the R22. The boys are quite good with the stick and it certainly makes life easier for them.

thanks,

I have no idea, but I've seen them using helicopters to round up cattle as well as wild horses and even caribou in Alaska or Canada on TV.
