Is that what you're trying to say because Dueling Banjos has no political message and you just happened to pick that particular version of the song? Or do you have such little knowledge about music that you're only familiar with the soundtracks of Burt Reynolds movies? It's gotta be one of those.

Also, I happen to play the banjo and no, not a single old time song is about Conservatives. Desperation is really an ugly quality.

Who cares what their politics are? They wrote a song with a conservative theme in it. You asked for songs, not artists.

And it is interesting that their songs seem to have a suspicious number of conservative friendly themes in them.

Some of the bigger conservative favorites on the rock side are written by major lefties. We are all well aware of that.

As I feel more and more oppressed, forced to be politically correct, Rage Against the Machine "Killing in the Name" seems appropriate. As far as that goes, just the name of the band is appropriate to today's Conservative. I feel the Machine now is big government.
