People who do open mic' in pubs and saloons are frequently heard saying, "I wrote a prose that I would like to share."

A prose is a shortcut, skipping the technicalities of rhythm. In my opinion, such shortcuts are justified when the meaning may be compromised for technical propriety. (or laziness).
