Just a reminder that you do not have to vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.

No third party will win, and it is highly unlikely that a third party will gain a single electoral vote. They are on the ballot though (Libertarian Gary Johnson in all 50 states, Green Party Jill Stein 47 states).

This isn't a lesser of two evils vote--red and blue are equally in the wrong here. Nobody knows what will happen in the next four years after either of them take office (it could possibly be that it doesn't matter who is in, the same will happen anyway). You don't have to line up and follow either side, cheering them on like its a sporting event, hoping for a win and winning nothing.

That leaves a vote of support for third parties. 2020 will be the first presidential election that anyone born after the turn of the millennium will be able to vote in. Hopefully independent and third party candidates and runs will increase and grow by then. Any vote now will help. 5% of the popular vote now will greatly contribute to this growth for the future.

A huge portion of the population dislike both major candidates, wished for somebody else, or don't vote, don't care.

For those out there: Go vote third party.

Call it a protest vote, call it a moral choice, call it an investment.
Whatever it is labeled, it is your opinion and your choice, and that is never a waste.

The only reason to vote for a 3rd party is to get them matching funds in 2020 and that will not happen. So voting for a 3rd party this time, is a throw away.

Voting third party does not make you moral. It falsely clears your conscience, but the reality is you did nothing to stop corruption from entering the White House and permitted the elite establishment to continue their reign through the face of Hillary R. Clinton.

You do Realize , that in this Particular Presidential Election , a Meaningless Vote for a Third Party Candidate is in Reality , a Vote for Hillary Clinton . Following that Simple Logic , If Gary Johnson and Jill Stein Really Cared about this Country , they would Bow out of this Race they Both know is a Valiant , but Lost Cause .

That's not true.

We know Trump will appoint from these men for Supreme Court Justices. People he wants to overturn Roe v. Wade, and likely people that will want to backtrack on the progress we made for the LGBT community.

Falsely clears the conscience? Really?

...and plugging your nose and voting for Trump does what exactly?

My vote was for the person I thought could do the better job as President. That it wasn't a Republican, or Democrat is utterly meaningless, save for the fact neither appealed to me in the slightest.

...and you think Trump is going to be any better???

Whoever is in office? I hope they do a magnificent job. But I've my doubts.

Actually it's you people that keep voting for the establishment parties candidates that scare us that see past the BS. You are the ones who have perpetuated the cause of the the problems that plague this country. The world is "farked" cause of you guys not us. You know what you get when you vote for the lesser of two evils? Evil...

Go ahead, keep on putting the establishment parties candidates in office. As much as I hate and completely despise both candidates I advocate the election of either one! You want to know why? Cause either one will bring the country to the point where people will finally consider revolution. Which I'm really starting to believe this country needs at this point. A good ol fashion cleansing of government.

That is correct. He will do that. That is what I fear. A dystopian future. I have that av up (except for Halloween) for a long time. It is what I think will happen. Or something similar.

Listen to me and listen real close.

You authoritarians scare US 3rd partiers much more. "Vote one of our BS two ways or else!" Really? How undemocratic and less-than-free could you possibly be, can you sink any further?

Folks, ignore people like this and vote how you see fit. Your choice may not win, but you have choices. Don't let dips#s like this tell you otherwise.

Yes , God Forbid if Elected President , Mr. Trump would Appoint Supreme Court Justices that would Actually Uphold the Constitution of the United States ! As for Roe v. Wade , I do not think you have to worry to much about that , Only the Christian Right Still have a Hard On for Getting Rid of it , and I Doubt the SCOTUS would bother going through that again . Hillary's Possible Appointees on the other hand would Stack the Court Deck in Favor of Liberal Judges who would Definitely go after Reinterpreting the 2nd and 4th Amendments for the Delight of the Liberal Socialists Progressives Crowd that just Cannot Stand those Kind of Freedoms Existing in their Future Delusional Fascist Utopian State .

I surely don't need some intellectually challenged buffoon, of which there are many, attempting to tell me who to vote for.

It makes you look like a bigot.

Are you referring to the part about LGBT? You weren't clear. The Supreme Court declared banning marriage for gay people as unconstitutional. So not everyone familiar with the Constitution shares your view.

Only the Christian Right Still have a Hard On for Getting Rid of it

Apparently Trump also has a 'hard on' for it. Hence why I mention it.

Liberal Socialists Progressives Crowd

That's me!

Future Delusional Fascist Utopia State

Fascism is associated with the Right.

"Fascism opposes liberalism, Marxism and anarchism and is usually placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum." source

In my utopia we certainly don't make it illegal for people to have abortions or illegal for certain people to marry.

That's why Ben Franklin said what he said...

A republic, if you can keep it.

We'd do well to remember that Rome was once a Republic, too. A point to ponder.

I don't look at memes, normally. This isn;t facebook. This place is for serious discussion. There is a good meme thread, all about memes. Shall we keep most in one place about the election?
