Chelsea-Ordered Clinton Foundation Audit Warned That Donors Expect Quid Pro Quo

This story comes from one leaky email in the Podesta Files.

It deals with the Clinton Foundation inside operations and how it may have been Chelsea Clinton that was worried about the sloppiness.

Can't confirm Chelsea's involvement, but an audit did apparently happen and the results were certainly pointing to expected favors from Hillary while she was Secretary of State.

Proof the CF is a Schlock operation.

Note the audit is NOT from the IRS.

Can anybody confirm Chelsea's involvement and her own "competence / incompetence" ratio?

Near the end of 2011 Chelsea Clinton who felt uncomfortable about the way the Clinton Foundation was being run ordered an audit their operations. Called the Clinton Foundation Governance Review, the emails with audit were released by Wikileaks on Thursday. The audit was conducted by the Law Firm of Simpson Thacher (embedded below). Overall Simpson Thacher said that Clinton Foundation did not have the necessary independent oversight as required by federal charity law.


The Simpson Thacher audit also found:

* The foundation board didn’t have the necessary independence, instead it was filled with Clinton insiders.
* The board failed in it’s fiduciary responsibilities
* The board ignores conflicts of interest
* Audits wanted them to change their accounting methods. The Foundation’s auditors have, in 2009 and 2010, indicated that material weaknesses exist including variously in segregation of accounting duties, review of journal entries, audit adjustments and financial statement preparation, and lack of Board meetings. The auditors also noted that books are kept on a cash, not an accrual basis. These issues do not appear to have been addressed by the Board. Separately, interviewees reported their belief that certain employees abuse expense privileges (e.g., charging the Foundation and President for personal expenses) and do not follow the Foundation’s travel expense policy.

The audit was conducted by the Law Firm of Simpson Thacher (embedded below).

The Clinton Foundation has passed every charity rating organization there is. It is a good thing if Chelsea ordered an audit, the source in the OP is a bit sketchy, though.

It still could never come close to the fake Trump Foundation in problems. It's audit is simple. I shall audit it now:

1) Collect money form smaller charities.
2) Take credit, get award for giving to charity.
3) Receive award at your own resort where you charge the people holding the event a few hundred thousand.
4) Buy things for yourself with foundation money, yet never auction for charity nor give them to charity.
5) Only employ your family in it.
6) Pay fines and a bribe with the money.
7) Not give any of your own money to it since 2008.
8) Accept, I think it was $300k from Comedy Central Roast and money disappears.
9) Set it up for money made form a book and never make it a real foundation.

That's why us peons should be doing everything we can to spread and disseminate all this information. We all know the MSM isn't going to do it.

Thankfully many seem to be doing just that but sadly just as many are fighting to discredit and hide it. Despicable.

They still have a very good rating from charity watchdogs. It employs 2,000 people. It runs their own schools and organizations. Yiou can look up ratings for the Clinton Foundation. It is real, regardless of any 'sloppiness' found due to their requesting an audit of themselves.

Actually that is false... Both corporations and large NGOs usually have lawyers either as advisors or general counsels IN-HOUSE to give advice on legal issues, help with contracts, take part in negotiations, make sure that current or future moves are compliant with current law, etc. In fact, virtually all major organizations have such lawyers... Literally every major corporation for example.
