Hi Jacquelyn.

Welcome to ATS.

That red one in the center 'looks like' a bit of glazed pottery or brick, fashioned into a triangle, appears manufactured by human hands.

Welcome to the conversation.

Sorry, I can't help here, I'm not a rock hound myself.

Hi Jacquelyn -
The silver sparkly bits are Mica. I have several just like those out front. The one toward the bottom that you're holding in your hand, looks like a Chert nodule. I have a couple of those too. You should get quite a few replies, with intelligent answers.
We're a bunch of rock heads....er...hounds!.

Hi Jacquelyn
I just looked at your rocks and it looks like most of them are quartz. The round black one looks like a piece of asphalt cut from a road. The gray with dark specks looks like a piece of granite. As for the quartz it is possible that the gold flakes are in fact gold. I can't tell for sure from the pics but that is where gold is found. Silver is also found in quartz though rare. I would take those white "Milky Quartz" the be tested if you see a dark stripe through it. You do also find mica or fools gold in quartz so it may not be worth being tested unless you have a lot of it.

It is hard to be sure from photos but that is my best guess from what I can see.

I would go back to where you found that specific piece and look for more pottery and or arrowheads, etc. If its fired clay from the Wilderness, good chance you'll find something else.
