The point of giving the families of the victims of a violent internationally recognized series of felony terrorist attacks is so that they would receive the same day in court as the victims of any other crime in the industrialized world. And that maybe the costs of care and funerals could be paid out as needed. Any victim of a hate crime would receive fair treatment. Why should terrorism victims not have their day in court and recover money for loss and care like any other victim of crime?

The Monarchy in power may also need a little bit of back-door 'encouragement' as well. They love their money more than anything. If we allow them the same bull# facade nations like Belgium, Britain, Spain and Japan have with their citizens populations, they will cede to the sidelines for a representative republic, or theocracy, or oligarchy as well. They still have all the money, and the money always makes the rules, so nothing changes structurally. Only in culture and economic growth. Its a win - win with only a few family members lost due before stubbornness submits to logic.

According to the withheld section of the 9/11 report that was recently released members of the Saudi Royal family provided monetary support to the hijackers.

Well there you have it. But even if they were not, I believe we can still coax them into yielding leadership to a less severe government of reps and allow some damn cultural expression. Especially for that entire half of their population that must live in fear and seclusion as inferior second class citizen. Cultural expression is good for the economy. Their own and those who trade with them.
