Lately, I've mostly seen on this site Americans who support assault weapons that allow many people to be killed by crazy people in a short period of time. Yes! Second amendment is equal to the words of jesus. Never questioned. Truth never changes.

But this right wing site introduced me to the Mandela Effect, so you gave me something not tainted with right wing nastiness. Thank you, ATS!

Knives allow many people to be killed in a short period of time.
The Mandela effect is due to you not remembering things that are, with proof.

Best of luck

Just a friendly question old time member: When you signed up in 2007 did you feel this was a Right Wing Site?

TBH I think the Bush years were more neutral.

Let's look at the statistics for knife murders vs gun murders. Is there a difference?
Yes. But Americans don't won't to see.

that allow many people to be killed by crazy people in a short period of time

Surely Bayer or Johnson & Johnson could come up with a pill for that? Do you concede that irrespective of how easily accessible guns are, the mental state of crazy people intent on killing should also be addressed as well and with equal vigor because there are so many ways to kill humans other than guns.

So, let's put EVERYTHING on the table if we are to stop the indiscriminate killing of innocent people?

After all, mentally unstable and mass shooting appear to be partners in crime.

with a government that is allowing computer hackers to figure out a way to make your blender into a weapon I choose to have the right to bear arms and use my rights to defend against tyranical governments. only problem is others have to care to form a militia or even know of these problems.

The only person I've ever known, who was killed hours after I met him....

Was in the UK.

And his head was crushed with a cinder block.

Enjoy the safety of your gun free society.

Just a small town girl
Livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin' anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin' anywhere

A singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on, and on, and on

Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights, people
Livin' just to find emotion
Hidin' somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on, and on, and on

Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights, people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night

Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlights, people

Don't stop believin'
Hold on
Streetlights, people

Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlights, people

Statistics don't lie. Statistically legal guns are not involved in crime.

You are right. Guns are too easy to get. Stolen guns get used in crime, apparently gun owners are not securing them properly or gifting them improperly. The problem isn't just crime, the problem is accidental shootings in the home.

People don't really need the type of weaponry they say they do.

However, you will find yourself talking to a brick wall here, nonetheless.

I object entirely to your generalisation.

This site is not right wing. Some of its members may be, some of them certainly are. However, this site is neutral ground where ideas can be shared from either and any side of a given global issue.

Given that I am around, there is always going to be some left leaning stuff going on, and while we are about it, the right to bear arms is not one which is exclusively championed by right wingers, just largely. But nuance is dead, so it seems.

It does help to look for the signal, if you want to deal with an unpleasant noise.
