Loved the pictures you posted last night. How long did it take for the birds to get used to you?

Mom's will come to the feeder beside you but if you move around they leave.

a reply to: Martin75 I cant remember. At first I think the Hummer watched me a s a threat to his nest. He has probably lived here year round 3 years or so. No I whistle for him and he comes down. The doves sometimes surprise me. I will be walking past thew chain link kennel and they will be sitting on top at eye level about 3-4 feet away just looking at me. They are pretty bold now. Ive seen them for years too. Once I was noticed a hawk way way up circleing my yard. I looked around to see what he was scoping out, and saw the doves. I looked back up, and the hawk had his wings in, dive bombing real fast towards them. I yelled, and they flew inder the olive tree to safety. He just missed them. He sat up in the top of the pine tree all pissed off for about an hour. It was a big redtailed hawk

Oh wow, that must have been a sight! And the doves owe you their lives. I think animals can often sense these things. I am sure they know what a gentle soul you have and have learned to trust. That's so awesome!!! My talent is cats....I can take the most feral cat and turn it into a lap cat. Not always for everyone else, LOL, but for me.

I was looking for sme pictures of me and Jasper. The one I found isnt too clear. He used to ride all over on my shoulder.




Here was my 1930 model A. It was original with a hand crank motor and a rumble seat in the back. I used to show it. I gave it to her when we split up
