... can you add back the feature which showed the mods who were currently on-line. Their names would be lit up in white on the Forums page.

I always found that handy.

-Cheers

IDK why but they are. Updated every 10 minutes as I recall.

It's not the same. They're all in white text now. I can't tell who's on-line and who is not.

Like I said. 10 minute update. Even those that show online may already be off.

Their on the "who's here" section, although the contrast is not as great as it used to be, but you can still make it out (somewhat with eye strain and the bottom of an old coke bottle).

That is just a list of who is on staff. Not who is online.

For who is online, you need to scroll down further.

It used to be ... that you could see the names of staff (lit up) in that screen-shotted area that I posted. It was really easy to see which of you guys were logged-in.

Thanks for the replies. I'll just shut-up now. Maybe somebody can explain it better than I can.

ETA: I don't know now. Maybe I am pointing to the wrong place. But ... it used to be that one could easily pick out the mods who were on-line and now I can't.

Settings? Color variance? I don't have a problem with it.

Actually, you are right. Before ATS ver 5.3, the list had the staff names in bold (the list of who is online).

It is actually still there, but is very faint now. I use the dark looking ATS set up.

I always thought maybe if staff names were in italics it would be easier to see.

I believe you. I haven't changed any settings on my Mac. That feature dropped off around the time when the ATS backgrounds were changed.

Here's what the member list looks like.

But yes, way back when that was at the bottom of the page, staff was in a white or pale yellow color. Of course that was also when the staff assignment for a forum were at the bottom of a thread in that particular forum.

That was handy for knowing who to send a U2U (what PM's were called then). But it was best to compare to whom was online as some staff were not on all the time then either...just like now.

Hmm, my name is not on the list.

I never log off.

I see that too. Now its harder to tell which staff is online, replies disappear after we read them and I miss the message in thread alert at the bottom of the screen.

I have to check to see if I have replies. Look in search for a mods avatar to send a message, too.

I bought this Mac as an ATS reader (LOL). It's pretty magical when it comes to bringing up text to a size I don't need reading glasses for.

What we need is a DOWN button in addition to the UP button.
