Life's so full of twists and turns,
Throws you like the tides of sea.
The water slowly rolls and churns,
Tossing you to and fro hopelessly.
It's calm for awhile, serene and still,
Let's you breathe a few short breaths.
Then harsh and rough, changing at will,
Til you're full of anguish and distress.
But how boring would the sea be,
If it never stirred from day to day.
It'd hold no interest for you or me,
If it never changed in any way.
