Air Force adds G550 CAEW to FY17 wish list

In a last minute twist the Air Force announced they want to begin replacing their EC-130H aircraft with G550 CAEW aircraft, to be designated EC-37Bs. They would convert one aircraft per year under the plan.

The AF proposed retiring up to half the Compass Call aircraft, that are operated from Davis-Monthan, without having a replacement plan on the books. That plan was rejected by Congress.
