So in my mind if there is anyone who could stand up and ease growing race relations in the US its the President. Honestly I blame the media for driving this wedge between everyone to support their agenda.

If we're fighting each other we won't fight the Elite.

However, our president could easily stand up and address the nation and bring us together right now and im wondering why he isn't?

At what point do we decide enough is enough from the media and start holding them accountable for their actions?

They have real power with their voice and by fomenting the current political environment is it about time we place all ofnour anger where it belongs.. At CNN, Fox, MSNBC or do we ignore the fact that they have worked tirelessly to support this agenda while the country steps back 50 years in race relations?

Honestly I think MLK and other pioneers in the civil rights movement would be disgusted by actions on both sides of the table from the people ATTACKING people for their political views and the people fomenting the violence.

Everyone (including me) believed that Obama would be the president to finally completely ease race tensions in this country. He had an opportunity to show that race should not be considered in any conversation or decision. That we are all the same.

Instead, Obama has only increased race tensions. He takes sides, when there should not be sides. He has encouraged racism by his silence in other issues. And I don't mean white racism against blacks. I mean black racism against whites.

Either he has some agenda, or he is trying so hard to support blacks, that he does it at the expense of peace or understanding.

He wasted 8 years.

so its the media's fault, and then obama's, that trump told supporters he would pay their legal fees if they were arrested for assaulting a protestor at one of his rallies, that mexicans are "doing the raping" and that he would force all muslims to register, and there are protestors at his rallies in the first place ?

what ?

why is it so many people don't want drumpf to be president in your mind ? this includes the last 2 GOP nominees, romney and maccain btw

I totally agree

In my opinion most of the race relations come from confusion and aren't real. They are perpetrated by the media and in young people I really am starting to see this mentality that they deserve this and that.

I didn't believe it before but lately I've been starting to wonder what's really going on.

There's no reason for this nonsense in today's day and age and most of it perception and not reality.

I wouldn't listen to McCain kr Romney ever anyday of the week.

The media can twist and contort anything anyone says to make it sound like anything they want.

No way. He's on the way out and deliriously happy to be going....Presidents are temporary. 4, maybe 8 years max unless an unprecedented 3rd term is allowed.

Look...George W. is happy to be barbecuing...Clinton, watching porn while Madam C. is out on stage, Carter counting peanuts in Georgia...etc....

I cant think of any reason Obama is different. None. He's counting the months, day, hours, minutes, seconds and nano-seconds until he's free of everything...

We place too much expectations on our short term leaders ie: presidents. The only way we'll know if Obama and the others left alive had any effect on change...is long after theyve left office. On into the future...if we have much of it left....because of them.

Oh, they leave some kind of legacy in governmental societal and policy change...but I laugh when people expect miracles out of multi-millionaire power leaders in any country...who get in...screw up... and then pray they get out...alive.

And if "the DONALD" gets in? Yeah...he too will shoot his big mouth off and uncork some wacko leader in another country, gets us into war or worse....then split for Palm Beach and lay out in the sun while the bombs fly from the mess he leaves.

Sorry...but reality sux.

He is a giant man-child. His 'leadership' amounts to the same thing it always does, ridicule what he does not agree with and back up those he does agree with no matter how effing retarded they are.

Well, you kinda answered your own question. The elite, who control the media and the president, want us fighting each other. The reason Obama isn't doing what you want him to do is probably because he's controlled and owned by the elite. He may want to do more but knows he's not allowed. Presidents are just the CEO's for the elite, not the representative of the people.

You got beef with this or that? Blame the president. Focus all your attention on him and his party because that's what the elite want you to do.

So the answer is to not succumb to their games but the problem is, while the person is smart people are dumb as hell. First step, stop identifying yourself to this party or that party and falling for their political games. Then stop watching the 24 hour news outlets. Good news is that the demographic who keeps Fox News #1 are elderly while the younger generations get the majority of their news online.

Remember, when you get your info from the MSM you're taking what the elite and the CIA want you to take in.

I agree but Ive had a few sad revelations lately that people really do get their info from television.

I was on this tile job on Friday and I was talking about iodine supplements and how my hair has been growing back and this guy walks over says, "I was watching Big Bang Theory and they said you just pee put all the supplements and they don't help".

I immediately was overwhelmed with this feeling of, " oh # we are in trouble".

Anything Obama says on race is going to be attacked. Just getting into office riled the racists up to a high level. Anytime he says anything about race he is accused of playing the race card. A woman or a minority in office is always going cause a back lash and you will always find people who will take advantage of that. Trump has tapped that demographic at the right time. Granted that limits his overall support but, you take what you can get.

With the amount of racism still in this country, especially against the black community, do you really think it's a good idea for any president to make Black against White racism an issue? This country was founded on black people as slaves. Our great founding fathers had slaves. What did they say about black people when they were forming America behind the King's back? Hmmm...

Race relations clearly still exist but time's are getting better as we move into the future BUT if all the sudden the MSM and the Gov't makes Black against White racism a thing then this country will be going backwards to pre Civil Rights days when it comes to prejudice and violence.

Guess what, there are racist white people and there are racist black people. Now, who is the majority and who is the minority? Let's not stoke the flames of racism because some black guy somewhere doesn't like you. Good news for you though, there is some white guy somewhere who doesn't like that black guy so at the end of the day it's a wash.

You want to blame Obama for not being able to stop racial tensions but don't want to lay blame on those who foster it? Over-zealous cops who gun down unarmed persons for not complying quick enough, Governors passing hate bills, radical quasi-news media stoking the flames of bigotry?

That's a good show but more and more people are tuning out of TV and into the internet, the younger generations that goes for double, triple, all of them.

Cable news, newspapers, radio, and magazines are now Dinosaur Media. The internet is the future but that said, the MSM will still be here and on the net with us pumping out their propaganda. We can never truly get away from that.

How did Obama get so many votes if there really are that many racist in a country of majority white people ?

If there's racism it comes from all sides. There's no way for someone to get millions and millions of votes if a majority of those votes don't come from white people.

While in general I agree with sentiments here I do not think that Obama can do anything about it. I do not see as it is the presidents job to stand up and be a daddy, to tell all the squabbling children to grow the hell up. That I think is our own job.

I'm surprised that Obama hasn't been blamed for the flooding down in Texas. He gets blamed for everything else along with the media and libs.

Don't you think it's time for the electorate to take some collective personal responsibility?

You reap what you sow!

The black leader of our nation is in a unique position to take on this issue and should.

I'm not an Obama hater and rarely talk about him but on this issue ...

To address your OP and the president, he made it clear when he came out in defense of Trayvon Martin, A black kid, up too no good. If he had a son he would look like that? On facebook with gold teeth and smoking weed.

He called the cops idiots for arresting the black guy that went crazy on them at the university town that lead to the beer summit. I dont recall him speaking out on black on white crime ever.

Paula dean loses a job for using the N word 20 years ago yet he remains silent on blacks using it today? thats racist. And that is why racism will live forever. The blacks will riot in favor of a criminal but whites wont riot in protest of black criminal behavior.

And for the most part, blacks are scary looking. I think a lot of them know this and play that out. May be a horrible thing to say but damn its true. Would you feel OK putting your teenage daughter on an elevator with 5 black guys dressed like thugs?

There was threads a week ago about the Muslim kicked off a plane for speaking Arabic, most responses demmened the airline but would you be ok with putting your family on an airplane with a Muslim chanting "allah Akbar" that means god is great doesnt it?

Wait, are you trying to tell me there's no racist people in America, especially racist white people?

Seriously? I heard this argument before and it's a flawed one too boot. Good news is, the majority of America isn't racist but that doesn't mean there's no such thing as racism against the black community in America, or anyone who isn't white.

This country was literally founded on brutal racism and you think that all went away? Black people were finally allowed to vote in the South in 1965.

1965.

1965.

Four years later we went to the Moon. We are headed in the right direction but racism didn't magically go away but clearly the majority of America isn't racist.
