President Robert Mugabe is dealing with many issues both within his ruling ZANU-PF party and public demonstrations by supporters of the opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC). Zimbabwe state media has stated that Comrade Mugabe was surprised to see such unrest. Comrade Mugabe has made a public statement to the protesters.

www.news.com.au
"The party is not dead; it is standing strong. Are you aware that such thinking pleases the MDC," it quoted Mr Mugabe as saying in reaction to placards saying ZANU-PF was disintegrating.

No date has yet been set for the March elections.

More than a dozen officials have been purged from the ruling party's top bodies and as election candidates, after a row about Mr Mugabe's likely successor on his expected retirement in 2008.

It does not really matter how much of a dictator a person is. A dictator is a dictator and 'they' will rule by fear.

Robert Mugabe has turned a prosperous, though somewhat racist, country into a bankrupt, completely racist one.

Although his actual murder victims number in the thousands at most, his stupidity, evil, and (most of all) his longevity have done so much to destroy his nation that he must ranked up there with the real "professionals" like Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, and Adolf Hitler.

It will be a great day for the people of Zimbabwe when Mugabe starts his (hopefully soon) voyage to Hell.
