A question for Americans.

the only way for a government to be representative in a democratic system is if everyone votes. then the winner would be an accurate reflection of the electorate. instead we have the government of this country being elected by less than half of the eligible registered voters. The problem is the voters not taking their responsibility to vote very seriously. or even worse not voting at all, creating a skewed result due to lack of representation. the non voters are the source of the poopoo politicians winning elections.

so as i said before, if you do not vote, you have the government you deserve instead of the one you want.

It doesn't mean I'm not active otherwise. Do you like picking the lesser of 2 evils?

My question, keeping the first point in mind, is this: How do you reconcile your two choices now (lets be honest, that's what it is now) for POTUS?

We have unlimited choices in who we vote for. Gary Johnson for the Libertarian Party is a much better option than anyone running on an R or D ticket. I'm expecting Jill Stein will run for the Green Party. We can always write in the candidate of our choice as well. If folks feel the R and D candidate are their only choices, they are limiting themselves.

Which is really the problem, isn't it? The limits voters put on themselves?

Does it worry you at all that the two options now being padded (Hillary and Trump) are BOTH provably psychopathic, BOTH are provably Narcissistic and BOTH have pasts mired in more controversy than even the most corrupt of political figures - even people like Assad?

Of course it does. I've been worried for a couple decades now... Especially because so many folks limit themselves to those two choices so we keep getting the same crap. What does that say about those voting? To paraphrase: The political definition of insanity is voting for the same critters over and over again and expecting different results.

they are just puppets. an illusion of choice. same government. nothing will change. a war every 10 years. you can put it on the calendar. we are due for one in about 3-5 years.

im voting for a socialist....i dont feel he is evil at all.

ignore it and maybe it will go away then? short of armed revolution, which i do not advocate atm the only option left is to fight it from within. a large enough cohort with that in mind could change a lot. an example, the tea party, even though i disagree with their politics, they have made an impact.
