Even with acquittals they were still raiding dispensaries fully armored and armed. They'd cuff everyone, take the weed and cash, serve papers and say we'll see you in court. But the raids never made it to court.

They were and are federal shake downs, and they get away with it because regardless of state law, federal law supersede it.

And in December, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration revealed evidence that minors in Colorado lead the nation in monthly marijuana use. As pot use among teens nationwide has declined, it may be going up in the Rocky Mountain state.

What is the percentage of cartel connection to illegal marijuana trade and how has legalization diminished legal trade?

I agree that the article is absurd but think about your post for a minute. If you are a legal business owner following the law and selling a product that is legal would you still be a "drug cartel"? The fundamental premise of this "experiment" is to take the drug off the black market and regulate it making legal what was once illegal. It is working regardless of what others might think or say.
