Russia : Angry doctor kills a patient

The video shows a brutal incident inside a Russian Hospital.

The story :

The video begins with a 56 year old man named Yevgeny Bakhtin - be in the waiting room (for pre-checks). The 56 year old had earlier kicked a nurse and that action seems to have sparked the ire of Doctor Ilya Zelentinof, who entered the room, pushed the patient into the examination room with an aggressive manner. The patient relative tried to intervene and stop the attack but the doctor turned into him. The patient tried to stop the doctor of beating up his relative and that brought his sudden death by a single punch.

Wow, I appreciate the patient behaved inappropriately, what with kicking a nurse, but to lose his life over it?

It just goes to demonstrate how quickly life can be snubbed out.

Someone over on Reddit said that the MD (surgeon Ilya Zelendinov) was drunk...

Cannot find any confirmations though.

Two of the stories say that the MD has had violence issues in the past which leads me to believe that he probably was in fact drunk:

Doctor was drunk, as they were having "office" pre new-year party. Patient (not drunk) had allegedly insulted nurse and kicked wall with his leg. Cause of insult not known. She instead of calling security or what not, after long time had passed (video is cut, the guy is there calmly being checked by other nurse for a while, and insult happened in different place), she sends her doctor (boy)friend inside and points out the guy (doctor had many prior complaints about violence).

All of this was covered up (it happened 29. December), even logs were faked that patient had come to hospital with head trauma (in reality he had stomach pains). Only after this video was leaked by someone to blogs (8. January) it become viral and something is being done.

Thats what you can gather so far in Russian media (take it with grain of salt, as there are conflicting information appearing, but considering it was covered up and saw light of the day only because of leak, I personally would think the worst about persons involved, not dead ones). The patient had earlier kicked a nurse, after which the doctor punched him in the head, Russian media reported. Investigators think it was a case of "involuntary manslaughter", one official told Russian TV, but have launched a criminal case.

In a statement on January 9, Belgorod's Investigative Committee confirmed the incident occurred on December 29, but gave no explanation for the delay in investigating the crime. The statement said the doctor - identified as hospital surgeon Ilya Zelendinov - was suspected of causing death through negligence. He has not been taken into custody.

According to Russian media the doctor, who could face up to two years in jail, was involved in similar incidents in the past during which he used physical force. State Duma Health Committee official Oleg Kulikov commented on the event: "Our doctors are in a distressing condition. Their salaries have become 15-20% lower, there is no hope for better, and there are only prospects of further cutbacks. There are no medicines. Such incidents occur more often than the media shows us."

In a statement released on 9 January, a Belgorod investigative committee said the incident had taken place on the 29 December 2015, where the doctor confronted a bare-chested man who had potentially man-handled a female nurse. The doctor said: "Why did you touch the nurse?" before pushing him out of the doorway. When the man returned, the doctor delivered the fatal blow to the face.

It has not been explained why the investigation of the crime has been delayed, but the doctor is now expected to be charged with death through negligence that carries a two-year jail sentence.
During the incident at the hospital estimated to be 670km (440 miles) south of Moscow, the doctor is also seen scuffling with another man accompanying the patient and it is not noticed until minutes later that the first man is lying motionless on the floor after which other doctors try in vain to revive him.

They then drag away the man's body away after which an orderly mops up blood stains. The delay of the investigation of the footage has led to accusations of a cover-up. Russian media named the doctor as a surgeon Ilya Zelendinov and the patient as 56-year-old Yevgeny Bakhtin.

A doctor, working in a hospital in Belgorod city of Russia, punched his patient out due to he molested the nurse working in the same hospital. Falling on the ground, with the effect of blow got in his head, the patient lost his life at the scene. The moments were caught by the security cameras of the hospital.

The incident took place on Dec. 29, 2015, in the footage it is seen that the patient to be medically treated by the nurses in the hospital. Entering the room with anger and asking the patient why he is touching the nurse, doctor wanted the patient to put in another room later. He throws a tough punch to the patient right in his head and the patient falls to the ground. The doctor holds cardiac massage to the patient but the patient dies at the moment. The footages, aired on 360 Padmaskovye TV channel, caused great reactions among the public.

Killed a patient of the doctor sacked from Belgorod hospital, as nurse, for which he supposedly stood up, reports channel LifeNews with reference to sources in the health Department of the region. Absolutely crazy! This medical doctor must have anger issues. I don't know what Russia's justice system is like, but the video of this doctor attacking both of these guys is a slam dunk for assault and murder.
