I'm still not sure how FOX and Right wing media are playing the democrats. Yeah they hate Hillary, but they don't seem to be giving Sanders any solid coverage either.

Oh, it will be obvious to far more people than just here on ATS. There's been a huge battle between Hillary supporters & Bernie supporters for months now. Virtually every pro-left wing & pro-Democratic Party forum reflects this, too (at least on the ones I visit). We won't be shocked in the least bit if/when Bernie beats her.

Bernie's supporters are generally the same left wing people who supported Obama over Clinton in 2008. Like I try to remind people, Hillary & Bill have been in power since at least the late 1970s when they were Governor of Arkansas. The left wing knows them quite well; but we reject her. Unfortunately, many people in the Democratic establishment are center and center-right, and they heavily support her (like the Blue Dogs, Third Ways, and Neo-Liberals).

I made a bet at work there's $500 in the pot everybody's betting on trump I put a $100 on Hillary even though I cant stand her, she's a Clinton and the electoral party will get her in

You bring up some good points regarding Obama vs Clinton. Back in 2007 and late 2006 the media was talking about Clinton quite a bit coming into the 08 election season. Early on they were acting (like they are now) that she already had the election in the bag.

Once the dust settled she did deplorable in the primaries and barely put a dent on in the primaries compared to Obama. Interesting what will happen this time around.

Agreed! It doesn't need to cost upwards of $1 Billion for a single presidential election, that's disturbing in of itself.

If they were, wouldn't one think that Sanders would be receiving boo coo big bucks from them? Less than a million in big donations. Where are all the big time power hungry socialist donations?

Then we look at the big donations to Hillery. Socialist donations? I think not. They are capitalist donations, which puts her closer to the Republican camp than socialist.

I honestly believe that's one reason why the DNC is having so few televised debates & why it's choosing crappy timing for the ones it has. Name recognition is vital to Hillary's campaign, as is the narrative that she's the only realistic candidate. The absolute last thing they want is to give anyone a chance to build their brand against her & force her to defend her pro-Wall St and pro-war policies.

O'Malley is decent, but I'm almost guaranteed to vote for a 3rd party progressive if Hillary wins. Literally the only way I see myself ever voting for her is if Trump is the Repub candidate & she wins the Dem nomination. And even then, I'd probably 1) wait to see who Trump wants in his Cabinet and 2) vote for the most extreme left wingers I can in every other race, just to "even out" my disgust at picking the lesser of 2 evils.

I really wish more progressives were running for President, b/c Bernie's actually a Plan B for me. I respect a lot of his positions, but he doesn't excite me in the least. He's actually not left wing or socialist enough for me lol. He's just "really left wing" compared to the right wingers who get the most attention.

I think Bernie is a good guy.. but he is still part of the system, get away from the two parties... 5% is all thats needed during a presidential election to take an obscure party from fringe to official party, stop feeding the two headed monster that has helped wreck our country.

But even so, this is truly the first time we had a real large scale "grass roots" campaign. It's pretty astonishing.

You are spot on about the word socialism. I have many "right winger" / establishment Republican type friends on FB & social media who are absolutely terrified of the word socialism. As soon as that word comes up in conversation or a post they are unable to use any logic beyond that point.
