Coming just two days before the Palestinian elections, Palestinian militants began shooting into a crowd of Israeli civilians from a moving car. Four
people were injured, one of those critically. The favored successor to Arafat, Mahmoud Abbas visited Nablus yesterday, claiming that he wishes to
resume the peace talks with Israel after the elections have been completed. Upon completion of the visit, the militant spokesman said that they would
honor Abbas' wishes.

Militant leaders said that they would support Abbas yesterday, then today they go and perform a drive by shooting at Israeli civilians. What is
going on over there?
I understand that the lifestyle over in that part of the world is a calamitous one. They never know when one is getting ready to kill another,
whether it be Israeli military, or a suicide bomber, but doesn't there need to be some form of honor? Without it, there will never be peace. Sad.
