'Multiple murders' as you say is a 'mass shooting.' If someone targets a group, a family, or indiscriminately shoots into a crowd, it should be considered a mass shooting. Several people in this thread alone have tried to elevate the bar for what is considered a mass shooting as a technicality to have them not count. Maybe that is why so many people remain blinded to how much gun violence there is in this country.

Doesn't really matter, but by your point if a gun is fired and anyone is with in the bullet range it's a mass shooting...ok, don't care what they call it. There is a lot of violence period. Out of the 8k murders by guns 5k is handgun and most of them are bad guys shooting bad guys and that is out of 330 million people. It is not like all of a sudden murder rates would go down, people who want to die will still die, and people who want to kill will still kill. If you really want to reduce deaths lower all speed limits to 25...

You are absolutely correct. Who is going to check and who has the right to determine if you are Blind or not. Good libertarian thinking - people, everyday un-wise and un-reflective people, can make that determination themselves regardless of mental state.
